Yes, I've read it. There are a lot of myths floating around about what this bill does, and I wanted to read it for myself.

Here is my layman's understanding of it, the good (lots), the bad (some), the ugly (not so much):

I also have read the bill, and Luna's naivete is rather astounding. I own a home care company, and I deal with regulations and the underlying legislation on an almost daily basis. The regs are always what really bite you, and the broader and more vague the legislation the more intrusive and stifling the regulations. A good deal of what is being called "myth" is clearly there in the form of an open door for regulation. In my experience, if you want to insure that something does not happen through the authority of a bill, then the bill needs to specifically prohibit certain activities.
Bottom line, HR3200 is extremely dangerous and will lower the standards of health care for all of us, most specifically the elderly.

Thank you for your comment. It is important for everyone to read the bill to completely understand the details and then form their opinion. Sadly, most people do not take the time and form their opinions on hearsay.
