To celebrate the history of Godiva’s first signature store, which opened in 1972 on New York’s Fifth Avenue, the new Fifth Avenue flagship boutique will pay homage to the prolonged affair between love and chocolate. The entire design is meant to evoke the feeling of Godiva’s signature Valentine’s Day heart gift boxes. The extravagant construction will include a myriad of elements, including the following:
· An oversized heart shaped chocolate gift box that frames the exterior of the store showcasing signature Godiva Valentine’s Day pieces. The exterior façade gives the feel as if you are walking directly into a box of Godiva chocolates
· A chocolate display in the front windows featuring an elaborate chocolate desk and chair, an oversized feather pen, a chocolate scroll with a love note inscribed, as well as a library bookshelf display made entirely of chocolate
· A detailed candelabra and framed chocolate painting made completely of Godiva chocolate also decorate the windows and large chocolate flowers are attached to the window’s walls to provide a beautiful backdrop
· Walls enveloped in red satin ribbon modeled after the inside of Godiva’s classic heart gift boxes
· A lavish, oversized chocolate mailbox, adorned with hearts made of white chocolate truffles
· Multiple chocolate chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, each draped with chocolate pearls and topped with chocolate lamp shades
· Red accents, from the eye-catching rose petals placed throughout the store to the carpet itself
