Get screened for COPD.
As people get older, many assume that feeling out of breath while doing normal activities and wheezing are just normal signs of aging. But they could be early symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) – and there’s a new way for people to find out if they might be at risk.
A brief, five-question screener at DRIVE4COPD.COM helps people learn their risk for COPD and provides printable results to share with their doctor. It’s important to find out as soon as possible if you have COPD because it’s a progressive disease and once you lose your lung function, you can’t get it back. DRIVE4COPD is a multi-year health campaign that aims to raise awareness of COPD and encourages people to take action.
